About this tradition
Jyotisha encompasses several Indian astrological traditions. Kundli calculations commonly use a sidereal zodiac, with conventions such as the ayanamsa requiring an explicit choice. Nakshatras and the five elements of a Panchang also depend on carefully specified astronomical and local-calendar rules.
What this section will cover
North Indian and South Indian charts are visual layouts of the underlying calculated chart; they are not two different planetary-position systems. We will validate dates, historical time zones, nodes and sign boundaries before enabling birth-chart output.
